Tuesday, October 17th, 2006

Looking for some fun? Bored at work or school? then take a look at Webpirate.  Webpirate Entertainment is a website that has a heap of online games for you to play. Noting to download or install, simply go to the site, select a game and start playing right away.

There are a heap of different types of Online Games - from action, arcade, shoot ‘ems and driving.  If you are not into games, they even have some short funny vid clips to watch. not only can you play the games, but you can leave a comment/rating for each game.  You can sign up to the site and if you do, then it will keep track of your high scores in all games you have played. I should sign up! I got the high score in a couple of games but because I wasn’t signed in it didn’t show up :(  I spent way too much time playing the games over there!

Once you have signed in, you can also add any game you play to your favourites list.  With so many games to choose from - there has to be at least 1000 of them this is a great Idea to keep track of your favourites.

All of the funny video clips even include a code so you can post them on your own blog or myspace.

So, if you have a few minutes and want to break the boredom or just want to have a quick bit of fun, then head over to the webpirate.

Advantage Processors

Tuesday, October 17th, 2006

Sooner or later if you run a business you will need to accept Credit Cards.  In order to accept Credit Crds from your customers you will need a Merchant account.  If you are in the market for such an account, then you might want to take a look at Advantage Processors as they offer Competitive Merchant accounts.

It doesn’t matter if you are just starting your first home based business or of you are growing your existing business, you can apply online at their site for an account.

The website itself is fast and easy to navigate - making use of brightly coloured navigation buttons  just above the content area of the site.  I would have liked to see a bit more information on the services that are offered and maybe even a bit of an explanation about the different processing options (online, retail etc).

Check SEO

Monday, October 16th, 2006

Check-SEO is a website that has a series of SEO or Search Engine Optimization Articles and SEO Tools

The Articles cover all aspects from research thru to building a website and provide a good baisis for anyone who is building and promoting their websites.  If you read all articles in the order that tthey are presented, a lot of good information can be found.  The information is presented in such a way that it is easy to understand and follow.  The Articles when put together are more like a How To on building and promoting a website.

The SEO tools they have include such things as PR checkers, Link popularity and indexed pages.  If you read their articles, they pretty well explain the use of the tools and how to monitor your SEO efforts.  The Hints and tips given at this website will not make you an SEO expert overnight, but if you apply what you learn at this site, and the competing sites have not, you should gain some advantages.

The Site is very simple, and this makes the articles easy to read on-screen.  There is no clutter getting in the way of either the articles or tools.  If you have a website and are not in 1st spot on the Search engines, then this site may have something to offer you.

Forum Angels

Forum Angels is a paid posting comapny which offers services to Forum owners.  If you own a Forum and need to get it off the ground the best way is to get some posts in the forum so it looks active.  An active community will encourage more people to join and participate in the discussions.  Getting a Forum started can be a very difficult job, but once it has started and is active, then it is much easier to attract new members.

There are a lot of packages to choose from to help you get going from the Trial Packages  right up to Premium packages.  Whatever your budget or forum size, the Forum Angels should be able to help you get your next forum off the ground!  The Packages vary from a few posts and a single poster, and go right up to hundreds of posts and several registered posters on your forum.  The packages all include new posts on new topics and replies to existing posts.

Now, if you are on the Internet all the time and are looking for a way to make a few $ - you could sign up to become an angel.  If you have a bit of time, see if you meet the requirements.

What impressed me the most about Forum Angels was the customer Testimonials - 100% positive feedback!  After reading the feedback it was clear to me that the Forum Angels only recruit the best posters and get the job done when they say it will be done.

Their website is a no-nonsense professional site that clearly states what they offer. It is well laid out and easy to navigate.

Unique Gifts

Tuesday, October 10th, 2006

Unique gifts is an Internet shopping site that specialises in mirrors that are custom made to your requirements.  They are located in the UK and have a range of different themes from Children, Cartoon and Corporate themes for your mirror.  You simply select the theme you like and get it customised with a name or personal message!

In addition to mirrors, they can also make a scroll saw portrait - which is cut from Birch and framed over black felt.  They take your photograph and make a very unique portrait from it.  I have never seen anything like this before and the examples on their site look fantastic!

The Unique Gifts website is very easy to navigate with a Light blue/white theme with  header and left column navigation.  You always know where you are on the website.  The website even has a live chat - so you can discuss your needs and ask questions about their products.  This is faster than an email and certainly cheaper than making a telephone call!  They make it as easy as possible for you to get in touch.

If you are in the UK, they even do free shipping of all their products.
